Hey, I'm looking at Tirzepatide for weight management. Mito Labs has both 10mg and 20mg vials. I've never used it before — should I start with the 10mg to test my response, or is the 20mg better value?

Also curious what dose people typically start at? I've seen 2.5mg/week mentioned online but not sure if that's right.

Any tips on managing the nausea? I've heard that's a common side effect early on.

Start with the 10mg vial and dose at 2.5mg/week for the first 4 weeks. You want to titrate up slowly — jumping to a higher dose too fast is what causes the worst nausea. After 4 weeks at 2.5mg you can bump to 5mg.

For nausea: eat smaller meals, avoid greasy food, and some people swear by ginger tea. It usually gets better after the first 2-3 weeks as your body adjusts.

The 20mg is way better value per mg. I'd still start at 2.5mg/week but at least you won't need to reorder as quickly. One 20mg vial lasted me about 8 weeks.

Agree with both. Start low, go slow. Also pin at night before bed — if you get nausea you'll sleep through the worst of it.

Hi Lisa,

Great to see you're considering Tirzepatide for weight management. Sarah, Dan, and James offered some excellent advice. Starting with the 10mg vial and dosing at 2.5mg/week is a solid approach, especially if you're new to this peptide. It gives your body time to adjust to the treatment, minimizing side effects like nausea. Once you're comfortable, you can increase to 5mg as Sarah suggested.

As for the 20mg vial, James has a point about value — it's more economical per mg, and you'll have enough to follow a protocol without needing to reorder soon. Just make sure you still start with the lower dose to see how your body responds.

Regarding nausea, it can indeed be a bit of a hurdle at first. Besides the tips already given, staying hydrated and taking the dose at night, as Dan mentioned, can be helpful. With time, your body will likely adjust, and the nausea should subside.

Best of luck on your journey with Tirzepatide! 🌟
