I work remotely from Bali and my productivity has been all over the place. Looked into nootropic peptides and Semax and Selank keep coming up.
From what I've read:
- Semax = more stimulating, good for focus and cognitive performance
- Selank = more calming, good for anxiety + focus without the stimulation
I don't want anything that feels like a stimulant (I already drink too much coffee). Leaning towards Selank but curious what the community's experience has been.
Do you dose these daily or as-needed?

If you don't want stimulation, go Selank. It's more anxiolytic — reduces anxiety while improving focus, almost like a clean calm. I use it on days when I have a lot of admin/writing to do. Nasal spray is the most common route but subQ works too. I dose daily for 2-3 week cycles with a week off.
Hey James!
It sounds like you're doing your homework on nootropic peptides! You're right on the money with your assessment of Semax and Selank. Semax does tend to have a more stimulating effect, enhancing focus and cognitive performance, whereas Selank offers a calmer, more anxiolytic experience that can still boost focus without that jittery stimulant feel.
Given your preference to avoid anything too stimulating, Selank might be the better fit for you. It's great for getting into that focused, yet relaxed state, which can be perfect for remote work. Most people find it effective to use either nasal spray or subcutaneous administration, depending on personal preference. As for dosing, taking it daily for 2-3 week cycles with a break in between, like Dan mentioned, is a common approach. This helps maintain effectiveness and reduce the chances of developing a tolerance.
Whatever you choose, be sure to start with a lower dose to see how your body reacts. It's always wise to listen to your body and adjust as needed. Let us know how it goes for you!
