I'm looking into IGF-LR3 as an addition to my recovery/performance stack. From what I understand it's one of the more potent peptides for muscle hypertrophy and recovery.
A few things I want to clarify:
- Is it dosed in mcg not mg? The 1mg vial seems like it should last a while
- Best protocol for someone who trains hard but isn't a bodybuilder?
- Can it be stacked with CJC/Ipamorelin or would that be overkill on the GH axis?
- Is there any truth to the concerns about it affecting blood sugar?
I'm 34, 88kg, train CrossFit 5x/week. Main goal is recovery and lean mass. Not trying to get huge, just want to perform better and recover faster.

Yes, dosed in mcg — typically 20-50mcg per day. The 1mg vial gives you 20-50 days. You can stack with CJC/Ipa but be mindful that you're amplifying the entire GH/IGF axis. For your goals (recovery, not bodybuilding), 20mcg post-workout is a solid starting point. Monitor blood sugar — IGF can cause mild hypoglycemia in some people.
I ran IGF-LR3 at 40mcg post-workout for 4 weeks. Recovery was noticeably improved and I gained about 1.5kg lean mass (measured by DEXA). The blood sugar concern is real but manageable — just have a post-workout meal within 30 mins of pinning. Don't run it continuously, 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off.
