I get this question almost daily so I'm putting together my standard advice for peptide beginners.

Step 1: Pick ONE goal Don't try to solve everything at once. Pick your primary goal:

  • Injury recovery → BPC-157 or Wolverine Stack
  • Fat loss → Tirzepatide or AOD9604
  • Sleep/recovery → CJC/Ipamorelin
  • Skin/anti-aging → GHK-Cu
  • Immune support → Thymosin Alpha-1
  • Focus/anxiety → Semax or Selank

Step 2: Learn to reconstitute It's easier than it sounds. BAC water + insulin syringe. There are great videos out there. Mito Labs also has instructions with every order.

Step 3: Start with one peptide Don't stack 5 things on day one. Run one peptide for 4-6 weeks, assess results, then consider adding a second.

Step 4: Be consistent Peptides aren't magic pills. They work through consistent dosing over weeks. Skipping days reduces effectiveness.

Step 5: Track your results Take photos. Write notes. Track sleep with a wearable if you have one. You'll forget how you felt at the start if you don't document.

Common mistakes:

  • Overdosing (start low, increase gradually)
  • Not refrigerating reconstituted peptides
  • Eating within 2 hours of GH peptides (blunts the response)
  • Giving up after 1 week (most peptides need 2-4 weeks to show results)
  • Buying too many peptides at once and not knowing what's working

Feel free to ask questions below. No such thing as a dumb question when you're learning.

This should be required reading for everyone joining this community. I'd add one thing: if you're taking any medications, check for interactions. GH peptides can affect insulin sensitivity. GLP-1 agonists interact with diabetes medications. When in doubt, consult a practitioner.

Saving this post. As someone who just started their peptide journey, the 'start with ONE peptide' advice is gold. I was tempted to buy five things at once. Instead I started with Selank alone and I'm glad I did — now I know exactly what it does for me.

Wish I'd had this guide when I started. Made the mistake of stacking 3 peptides on day one and had no idea what was doing what. Dan's right — one at a time, document everything, then add.

The tracking advice is so important. I use a simple spreadsheet: date, peptide, dose, subjective notes, any metrics (sleep score, workout performance). After 3 months I can see clear patterns. Data > vibes.

As a coach, I'm sharing this with every client who asks about peptides. Clear, actionable, no BS. The common mistakes section is especially important — I see the 'eating before GH peptides' one constantly.

This is such a fantastic discussion thread, Dan! Your guide is spot-on, especially for those just dipping their toes into the peptide world. Taking it step-by-step like this can make the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming.

We've seen firsthand how starting with one goal and one peptide at a time helps people understand their body's unique response. It can be tempting to dive in with multiple peptides, but as Priya mentioned, it's often more effective to let each peptide reveal its own benefits before adding more to the mix. Your point on consistency is key too — peptides require patience and regular use to unlock their full potential.

To add a bit of perspective from our experience, we always encourage beginners to remember that safety comes first. Starting with a lower dose and gradually increasing allows your body to adjust, minimizing any potential side effects. And yes, reconstituting peptides might sound complex at first, but as you said, it's pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. Always refrigerate those reconstituted peptides to keep them potent!

If anyone's got more questions or needs tips, we're here to help. It's always great to see such a supportive community sharing insights and advice!
