Glutathione is an endogenous tripeptide composed of cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine, present in virtually every human cell. Research has established its role in cellular redox balance, neutralisation of reactive oxygen species, and as a substrate for numerous enzymatic pathways including Phase II conjugation reactions in the liver. Glutathione levels are documented to decline with age and in states of oxidative stress. Injectable delivery is used in research contexts to bypass the limited bioavailability of oral glutathione. For in-vitro and laboratory research use only.

See all →Women and peptides — what I wish I knew before starting
There's a lot of info online about peptides but almost all of it is written by and for men. As a woman who's been using peptides for about 6 months, here's what I've learned: **Dosing is different.** Most protocols online are for 80-100kg men. At 58kg I typically use 50-60% of the commonly recommended dose and get full effects. Start lower than you think. **Menstrual cycle matters.** Some peptides (especially GH secretagogues) can affect your cycle timing. Not dangerously, but worth tracking. My cycle shifted by 3 days when I started CJC/Ipa. **Skin benefits are usually faster.** Women tend to notice GHK-Cu and glutathione skin improvements faster than men (possibly because we're paying more attention, or hormonal differences in collagen). **Weight loss peptides work slightly differently.** Tirzepatide appetite suppression hit me harder than the men I know using it. Had to be very careful about eating enough protein. **What works great for women:** - GHK-Cu for skin and hair - Glutathione for skin brightening - BPC-157 for joint health (especially if you do yoga/Pilates) - Selank for hormonal anxiety - CJC/Ipa for sleep (lower dose than men) Would love to hear from other women in this community about their experiences.
Thymosin Alpha-1 for immune support — my protocol for Bali living
Living in Bali, your immune system gets tested constantly — different water, different bugs, tropical climate. I started using Thymosin Alpha-1 about 4 months ago and the difference has been notable. **What it does:** TA1 modulates the immune system — it upregulates when you need more immune activity and calms things down when there's excessive inflammation. It's actually approved as a drug in several countries for hepatitis and as an immune adjunct. **My protocol:** - 1.6mg subQ every other day for the first 2 weeks - Then 1.6mg 2x/week for maintenance **Results:** - I used to get a "Bali belly" episode every 2-3 months. Haven't had one since starting TA1 - Recovered from a cold in 2 days flat (usually knocks me out for a week) - General sense of robustness — hard to quantify but I feel more resilient - No side effects whatsoever I now recommend this to every guest at my retreat as a first peptide. It's gentle, well-researched, and the benefits for expat life in the tropics are real. Stack suggestion: TA1 + Glutathione for comprehensive immune and detox support.
The beauty stack: GHK-Cu + Glutathione — results from my retreat guests
I've been offering an "anti-aging peptide protocol" at my retreat for the past 3 months and wanted to share aggregated results from about 15 guests who've completed the full 4-week program. **Protocol:** - GHK-Cu: 1mg subQ daily - Glutathione: 200mg subQ every other day **Reported results (self-assessed by guests):** - 13/15 reported noticeably improved skin texture - 11/15 reported brighter, more even skin tone - 9/15 reported thicker-feeling hair - 7/15 reported faster nail growth - 4/15 reported old scars fading **Objective observations:** - Before/after photos show visible improvement in skin quality in most cases - Two guests with melasma saw significant lightening (the glutathione contribution) - One guest's eczema patches improved dramatically Zero side effects reported. The only complaint is the injection site can get a small bruise occasionally. For anyone in the aesthetics or wellness space: this is a powerful, evidence-based offering. The results sell themselves — guests post about it on Instagram without being asked.
